Like many communities in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, South Jordan City is experiencing rapid growth. More housing developments means more kids, and more kids means a greater need for places to play! South Jordan and the Rushton Meadows community came to Playworld looking to turn a lot behind a large multi-housing development into an inclusive play space that would connect the community.
It’s hard to top the majesty of the mountain ranges in the distance, but this orange and majestic purple play space provides a striking contrast. Best of all, it’s full of activities for kids of all abilities. Double-wide ramps that can be accessed straight from the berm wall and sidewalk invite wheelchair users to roll right into the coolest play features. One such feature is AeroGlider™, a collaborative rocking motion experience kids (and even adults) love.
Another inclusive feature is the NEOS® 360 Accessible electronic playground system nestled under a shade; it appeals to the gamers in us all and provides a good physical workout. Other sensory touches and a variety of challenge levels help make this playground an inclusive hangout for the whole community.
